LANESBORO, Minn. – The city of Lanesboro invites community members to attend an in-person public meeting on Oct. 19 in Lanesboro to review details and the preliminary construction schedule for the Highway 250 reconstruction project scheduled to begin next year, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The city of Lanesboro has been leading the design work of the Highway 250 reconstruction project in Lanesboro, which is scheduled to begin in 2027. The Minnesota Department of Transportation will oversee construction.

The project will be from the bridge over the Root River to Highway 16. The project includes:

  • Reconstruction of Highway 250
  • Replacement of city sewer and water utilities as well as stormwater management facilities
  • Improvement of bike and pedestrian crossings, sidewalks, and trails
  • Improvement of vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian safety

It's a good time to ask the project team questions and be sure you're ready for construction season in 2027. Information from the meeting will also be posted online.
